Blaze

Firefighter, people whisperer, aspiring dolphin

Blaze is a do-gooder and an amazing mentor to younger dogs and puppies. But he also lives to serve people. A registered therapy dog, he makes regular visits to Island Hospital and an elementary school in Bellingham. He is a proud member of HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response Team, and his most recent deployment was to the Sourdough fire basecamp in the North Cascades.

When he’s not busy saving the world, Blaze loves to roam the beach and take stealth dips in the channel when he thinks no one is watching. If he wasn’t a dog, he’d want to be a rescue dolphin, patrolling the seas and performing amazing underwater tricks.
