Anita is a rescue dog from Mexico, so her provenance is uncertain. A couple of people who’ve met her—one of them was from Sweden—are convinced that she is a Swedish Vallhund. Either way, one thing is certain: she belongs to the breed commonly known as Vivacious.

She’s also incredibly fast and agile, and loves racing around, taking turns on a dime, back and forth, under and over logs, benches and fences, with her head pumping up and down to increase her speed. Her hobby is touring the ferry cabin during crossings, collecting attention from every person sitting there, especially the crew members, who are her favorite kind of people.
